Alcuin Exists The Groucho Club

Alcuin Capital Partners is pleased to announce its exit from the Groucho Club, the UK’s best known arts and media members club. The business has been acquired by Artfarm, the creatively-focused hospitality business which has acclaimed venues across the world. Alcuin backed the management buy-out of the Groucho Club in June 2015.

The Groucho Club chairman, Nick Hurrell, said: “I am delighted that we have reached agreement with Artfarm, who are the perfect owners for the Groucho. Their mix of cultural engagement, pedigree in art and excellence in hospitality sits very well with the particular spirit of a members club that has been an important part of London’s cultural life for many years.”

Adrian Lurie, Partner at Alcuin, said: “We are pleased with our investment in the Groucho Club and what is a successful exit for the Third Alcuin Fund. We of course wish Jeff, Nick and the team at the Groucho Club the very best for the future – it has been a pleasure working with them.”
